Covert and Obscure
The idea of the covert and obscure was to show how people can be hidden and could be hiding things from everyday sight. To me the project could have been taken anywhere as it was such a broad brief. I decided to look at the work of Rob Mullholand as his set of images/sculptures had been focused on old tribes which lived in remote places which now no longer live there. He used human shaped mirrors to create an effect that made you think about who and what you are.
By cutting out different images and sticking them together I was able to get a similar effect to his and from that I was able to develop it on through the inspiration of different artists to creating my final piece in the dark room and using black and white film. I tried to create double exposures in the dark room to make my pictures more similar to Rob Mullholands work and then moved onto looking at Jasper James' work which was done with silhouettes and reflections

Work which I have done in the same style as Jasper James with backdrops from New York
I enjoyed working with the dark room as it was satisfying being able to see the images come out as you have no idea what they're going to be like from the film. I also like it as it gives you a much more traditional idea to photography rather than just putting it on auto. It gave me many hours of enjoyment to get the images to come out correctly and with the right exposures.
