Memories and Reminiscence
The aim of the ‘Memories and Reminiscence’ project was to focus on how dementia effects people and their individual memories. With about 820 000 people in the UK living with dementia, it will effect most people in their lives. This made it more of a personal project.
I found that using Horacio Guzman’s ‘Timeless Memories’ helped to inspire my work as he worked with elderly people asking them about their memories.
I used the idea of memories and combined it with a way of capturing the memories themselves. By using the different cameras it helps to show the ways that different ages capture memories. This is why I have used the different cameras – A compact camera, a SLR and an old manual camera.

I had created a blog page to show the work upto the final pieces of work which then got displayed in Salisbury District Hospital

When printing the final pieces I initially worried about the quality of them, however once getting them printed larger has shown that the quality of a print can eventually effect how nice the photos finally look.
